| The skateboard truck was mounted on a steel plate with four bolts. This plate was subsequently clamped to a table, creating a solid support for the truck. A long weight holder was attached to the end of the truck. A micrometer was mounted on a stand beside the truck. The moveable arm of the micrometer was placed under the axle of the truck and the micrometer was zeroed for the no load case. When masses were put on the weight holder, the axle would deflect and the micrometer would measure this deflection. The number of turns of the kingpin nut was recorded. |
